Guidelines of the EPG Group.

Our guidelines were developed in four groups of twenty colleagues from different areas of the company. (Note: In the following, the terms colleague/colleagues refer equally to female and male employees). The guidelines are the basis for action for all colleagues in our group of companies. They reflect the development from a medium-sized German family business to a globally operating logistics IT provider. New challenges have arisen and continue to arise for our colleagues. Customers and colleagues from other countries and cultures are added. Company takeovers bring new corporate cultures into the team. Growth, development and change are constant companions.

Creativity.

EPG creates a climate and space for creativity through a trust-based organisation and an open approach to ideas. Every colleague uses their creative energy to increase profitability, improve processes and products or increase the general well-being of the company. External stimuli (customers, partners, the public) are utilised as positive impulses. Every idea is important.

Values.

"The team" are all colleagues from the offices in all countries. We define our togetherness through mutual appreciation and trust across all organisational levels. Every colleague makes an important contribution to the success of the company with their responsibility and identification. That is why we apply the highest quality standards to ourselves.
Our customers should experience us as a team in which everyone willingly assumes responsibility. At the same time, every colleague always focusses on the holistic solution of tasks. Each colleague adapts to the dialogue partner and passes on their knowledge in the appropriate professional depth.
We regard knowledge as our common property and we all contribute to the correct distribution of knowledge within the company. Freedom of design not only gives us the space to be creative, it also means that we are tolerant of mistakes, open-minded and open to criticism.

Communication.

Communication harbours opportunities and risks. We communicate in order to win people over in favour of our idea, our product or ourselves. Respect and fairness guarantee success in achieving the communication goal.

Motivation.

We draw motivation from within ourselves, from the way we enjoy our work, and from our shared success. Our readiness to help is without self-interest and something we can all rely on. Our actions are transparent.

Ethics.

To us, gender equality between men and women is a self-evident fact. We respect the customs and conventions of other countries, cultures, and faiths. We treat customers and co-workers with openness and respect, no matter their gender, country of origin, skin colour, or religion. We consider it an obligation to stand up against any and all violations of human dignity. We will not tolerate damage to our organisation or to our organisation’s reputation, be it from within or from without. We will not work with companies or organisations of which we are aware of illegal acts. We do not support business activities that are illegal or are on the borderline of being illegal.

The future.

We do not want to remain stuck in existing structures. Our organization and our staff question existing organizational processes with the goal of increasing their own efficacy as well as the efficiency of the organization. Actively participating in designing our company’s future and enjoying new challenges is a standard we set for ourselves.
