Gini is our freely configurable digital KANBAN system for logistics. Whether replenishment management, quality management, gate management or management of automated guided vehicles, start the process of your choice at the push of a button. The smart button can be used wherever needed for a particular process. It has a battery-operated power supply, so comes without any wires or cables.
Just put the Gini where you need it - on a shelf, a picking station or loading ramp. When required, just press the button to run the process you have defined in your WMS. The actual process is entirely up to you.
Availability of a certain product is coming to an end? Let the Gini button help you quickly. Pressing the button on the corresponding shelf location immediately triggers a process that ends with timely delivery of new goods.
Gini also provides support for the quality management of temperature-controlled products. Truck drivers can press the button at the start and end of the unloading process for sensitive goods to keep track of exactly how long the cold chain has been interrupted.
Employees can use the Gini button to notify automated guided vehicles that loading material is ready for pick-up.

Gini is another step forward for networking, digitalization and automation in logistics. As part of the Internet of Things (IoT), the Gini button communicates with a Supply Chain Execution System (SES), such as the LFS Software Suite. It is also networked with the Supply Chain Umbrella, just as all other participants and all relevant data flows in the warehouse. This new IoT portal not only connects all customers, partners and suppliers, but also links all the technologies available in the warehouse – from the smallest sensor to sophisticated materials handling technology and all the way to the technologies of the future, such as drones and robotics solutions.
